this weekend's pet peeves
-people who do nothing but complain [expecting everyone else to solve their issues for them too, of course], claiming authority about a night or scene et. al. without actually regularly attending or participating in that night/scene etc.

-people [usually the same as the ones above] who complain about supposed importance or meaning being attached to a style or aesthetic alienating them, when they are the only ones caring or drawing attention to these supposed us/them differences, the only one who actually care enough to notice or give a shit and are actually putting that supposed value on these aesthetics themselves by being the only ones who actually care, notice or assign meaning to these differences...this makes the person complaining the one who is actually the only one contributing to any attitude of pigeon-holing and stereotyping people by trying to label them all the same and ignoring all those who don't fit in to their own prejudicial, way over-generalized stereotypes, in favour of trying to fit everyone else in to convenient little boxes.

-totally untalented bands who generally just suck but who blame downloading and copying music for their lack of sales *cough*BatteryCage*cough* even if they sold just as little before file sharing was even an issue...and besides, how much you wanna bet these same bands would be complaining louder than anyone about not getting fair attention if nobody was downloading their music anyways?


oh there are more, i'm sure....but i think i'm done bitching....for the next 5 minutes anyhow ;)
